Dr. Herculano works at two modern private practices in Fortaleza, Brazil.
The first one is the Gatroenterology Institute of Ceará, knonw as IGECE, which is the most traditional endoscopy private service in Fortaleza. The practice has been continuously serving patients since 1972. Dr. Herculano is the Medical Director of the Institute, and has lead its scientific and structural modernization through the last decade. The clinic is located at the São Raimundo Hospital (Av. Dr. José Lourenço, 777, Fortaleza).
The second one is called Digestive Center, a high-standard, multi-specialty practice, with its own operation room and rooftop cafeteria. All endoscopic ultrasounds (echoendoscopies) and esophageal manometries are performed at this site. The clinic is located at the São Matheus Hospital (Av. Santos Dumont, 5753, Fortaleza).

Dr. Herculano has been an endoscopist in Fortaleza/CE (Brazil) for over two decades. He began his professional journey back in 1986, when he started as medical student at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). Before being a doctor, though, he identifies as a husband, a father, and a servant of the Living God.
Throughout his career, he has worked diligently to learn medicine at his best, seeking continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.
Today, he is the Head of the Gastroenterology Institute of Ceará (IGECE), a private practice founded by his father in 1972, where the first endoscopy in Ceará state was ever performed.
Esposo, pai e servo do Deus Triuno, o Dr. Rúver Herculano Jr. é médico endoscopista em Fortaleza há mais de duas décadas.
Iniciou sua jornada profissional em 1986, ano em que ingressou no curso de medicina da Universidade Federal do Ceará. Ao longo de sua trajetória, dedicou-se com afinco ao aprendizado das ciências médicas, buscando aprimoramento contínuo e excelência no cuidado com o paciente.
Hoje, é Diretor do Instituto de Gastroenterologia do Ceará (IGECE), clínica fundada por seu pai em 1972, onde foi realizada a primeira endoscopia digestiva do estado.
